Unofficial Transfer Credit Evaluation Request

By submitting this form, you are requesting an unofficial Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE). To provide an unofficial TCE, it is required to specify for which major you are applying and to provide a transcript from all colleges/universities attended. When prepared, it will be emailed to you by a Transfer Admissions Counselor. Please note that unofficial TCE's may take up to 2-3 weeks.

NOTE: If your transcripts are from outside of the U.S., they must be evaluated through a foreign credit evaluation agency. To obtain such an evaluation, please contact a UMass Boston approved foreign credit evaluation organization. International transfer credit is only evaluated after acceptance to UMass Boston, unofficial transfer credit evaluations do not include international transfer credit.

In order to best assist with your transfer credit inquiry, we kindly ask that you first review the questions below and reference our transfer credit policies.

I have reviewed the UMass Boston transfer credit policies linked above.

Transferology

Many of UMass Boston's equivalencies are already available in Transferology. You're welcome to explore this tool to plan ahead right now before requesting an unofficial Transfer Credit Evaluation.

Through Transferology you can:

Check to see how the courses you’ve completed will transfer into UMass Boston
Find courses at your current college that will fulfill UMass Boston general education requirements
Run a degree audit to see how your courses fit into a specific major at UMass Boston
Plan ahead and check to see if a course you plan to take will transfer into UMass Boston

Please note, these results are unofficial. All admitted students will be provided an official transfer credit evaluation.

Application Status

I have already been admitted for an upcoming semester.

I have applied for an upcoming semester but have not yet received an admissions decision.

I have not yet applied to UMass Boston and plan to do so for a future term.

I was not accepted to UMass Boston, and would like an unofficial TCE to help with planning which courses to take before applying again.

Admitted Students: If you are an admitted student for the upcoming semester, and have not yet received your official TCE, please note that you should contact your Transfer Admissions Counselor instead of requesting an unofficial TCE.

Current Applicant: If you have an active application for an upcoming semester, please check your Beacon Gateway to see if you have any outstanding application documents. We recommend completing your application as soon as possible to expedite receipt of an official TCE. An official TCE is sent to you after acceptance to UMass Boston.
